Bloomville pool short on staff

BLOOMVILLE - Bloomville Village Council met Wednesday night and discussed a critical shortage of personnel for the village pool.

Council offered to reimburse half the cost of training if a lifeguard stays for the entire season. Area YMCAs that offer training include Willard, Fostoria, Bucyrus, Shelby and Tiffin. Interested parties should contact the village office.

Admission prices for the pool have been set for this season, incuding a $4 day pass; $2 night pass; $50 one person summer pass; and $85 for a family pass (less than eight people), with an extra $15 per person.

Golf cart inspection forms are available at the village office. The cart must be deemed street legal for a $15 fee, then the form taken to the BMV for licensing.

Council also discussed:

A thank you letter sent to crime prevention officer Ron Craig.

Two pine trees to be removed at edge of village.

Weekend ball tournament cancelled due to lack of teams.

Park committee meeting 7 p.m. April 30 at village hall.

Village hall sign to be replaced with grant of $690.

Drug take back April 28 at police department.

Community garage sale days have been designated for June 1-2. Participants should seek a free zoning permit at village office and pick up signs. Registrants also will be listed on maps that can be picked up by visitors.
