H-L’s Sendelbach has RBI-hit to cap late comebacks

April 18, 2012
The Advertiser-Tribune

BASCOM - Oak Harbor had to feel pretty good about itself going to the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday.

The Rockets had rallied from a 4-2 deficit in the top of the inning, scoring three runs off unbeaten Eric Tanner to take a 5-4 edge.

All that remained to secure the comeback victory was three outs.

But Hopewell-Loudon had a comeback of its own.

Tyler Tyree hit a two-run single, sending the Chieftains (13-1) home with a walk-off, 6-5 win over Oak Harbor.

Tyree scored a run and had a pair of hits in the game. Alex Ratchen had two hits and two RBIs, while Tanner scored, doubled and drove in a run.
