We need to do a better job in taking care of ourselves! NPR reported only 4 percent of the population claim feeling refreshed when awakening; that means a whopping 96 percent of the population reports still feeling tired when upon awakening. Shown below is a list of 10 things we can do to de-stress our lives.
Live simply Don't clutter your life with too many things.
Take care of yourself Get enough sleep; eat healthy.
Think positively Fill your mind with uplifting images.
Be cooperative Resist the tendency to want things your way all the time; try to see another point of view.
Get involved in a good cause Feel like you make a difference in the world, even if it's in a small way.
Live one day at a time Make the most of the moment; yesterday is gone, and today will be, soon enough.
Exercise Do something you really enjoy to restore yourself.
Maintain balance Devote time to all aspects of your life; spiritual, emotional, family, career, community, physical and mental.
Give yourself credit where credit is due.
Realize you can't do everything.
