Frederick Burl Sprow, 79, of Fostoria, died Feb. 8, 2012.
He was born Aug. 17, 1932, in Fostoria, to Burl Lloyd Sprow and Ruth Evelyn (Bullock) Sprow. He married Nancy Wendt June 19, 1955.
Mr. Sprow enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1952 and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars.
He is survived by his three daughters, Cindy (Douglas) Spires of Fostoria, Patricia (Daniel) Landau of Deerfield Township, Ohio, and Ruthie (Michael) Moshos of Canyon Country, Calif.; their mother, Nancy (Sprow) Malone of Fostoria; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Lee Betzer; brother, Richard Harry Sprow; sisters, Donna Jean Richards and Julie Butler; and half sister Helen Iler.
His memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Veterans' Memorial Chapel at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, followed immediately by burial with full military honors.
Funeral arrangements are being coordinated by Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria.
In Mr. Sprow's memory, the family suggests donations and/or volunteer service to organizations or events that support those who serve in the U.S. armed forces and their families.
