Barbara L. Marley

Barbara L. Marley, 64, of West North Street, Fostoria, passed away at 11:42 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.

She was born June 6, 1947, in Fostoria, to Francis M. and Barbara (Reinhard) Marley Sr. She married Charles R. Hall Jr. July 3, 2010, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, and he survives in Fostoria.

Also surviving is a stepdaughter, Rachelle Wilczynski, Toledo; brother, Francis M. (Jean) Marley Jr., Fostoria; a sister, Susan (Larry) Dunn, Jackson, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William E. (Vicki) Marley and Michael J. (Cindy) Marley.

Barbara was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, a 1965 graduate of St. Wendelin High School, a 1969 graduate of St. Mary's College of Notre Dame and a 1972 graduate of University of Toledo College of Law.

Barbara was serving as the municipal judge for the city of Fostoria, was a former 39-year partner of Law Office of Marley & Marley, Fostoria, was former president of Fostoria City Council, was former mayor of the city of Fostoria and was a former member of city council at large. She had been a board member for Terra State Community College's board of trustees, Seneca County Hospice, Fostoria Camp Fire, American Red Cross, First Step and Seneca County Commission on Aging. She also was a chapter chairwoman for American Red Cross.

She was a former member of Fostoria Civil Service Committee, Seneca County Regional Planning Commission and St. Wendelin Cemetery Committee and Parish Council, and was a chairwoman of Seneca County Democratic Central Committee.

Barbara was committed to her community and church. She was patriotic, loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Hoening Funeral Home, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria.

Her Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, where a rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Wendelin Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to St. Wendelin Catholic Church and School, or a charity of the donor's choice.
