I'm happy to live in a nice family town as Tiffin. As in every town, we tend to look for things to do as the weather warms up. One of our family activities which we like to do is go fishing. Living here the last 49 years, I've always went down to the river to fish. As a kid, it was a little easier, when you can ride you bike almost anywhere.
What I would like for the city of Tiffin to do is create a few areas near the river where people can fish. Not every town has a river going through it, so I think it's a gift we can all enjoy safely. All you see is areas of grown brush, weeds, poison ivy and all sorts of other messes. Can the city please clean up these areas by the river in town, and make a few nice places where people can go fishing with their families and enjoy the day? You can even take the brush to the water treatment plant. No charge. That's not asking to much.
A license is $19 for 16 years and older. The least we can do is find somewhere to use it.
