Sharon Blust

Sharon Blust, 63, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at her home.

She was born Jan. 22, 1949, in Findlay, to Cloyd R. and Imogene (Kear) Strauch. She married Joe Blust Nov. 14, 1970.

Survivors include her husband, Joe; two sons, Eric (Jennifer) Blust of Austin, Minn., and Kyle (Layla) Blust of Chicago, Ill.; mother, Imogene Burgderfer of Tiffin; five grandchildren, Hannah, twins, Ashlyn and Elayna, Eric, Berkley and one expected granddaughter; a sister, Deborah Williams of Lewis Center; stepbrother, Glenn (Paula) Burgderfer of Tiffin; and a stepsister, Donna (Bill) Gale of Thornville.

She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Larry Strauch; stepfather, R. Duane Burgderfer; and sister-in-law, Joanne B. Strauch.

Sharon graduated from Columbian High School in 1967 and was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Tiffin. She worked for Tiffin City Schools for 30 years as an administrative assistant and also was a student council advisor, cheerleading advisor and was involved in the athletic department and ticket sales. For the last four years, she was the office manager at Marcie and Associates. She also volunteered and was involved in the Tiffin Columbian High School Alumni Association. Sharon enjoyed crafts and traveling to visit her family.

Friends may visit with the family from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424.

A private burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, Tiffin.

The family requests memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice or Columbian High School Alumni Association.
