Fostoria won all four contested matches handily, as it swept Calvert, 5-0.
In singles play, Drew Bernal-Danner defeated the Senecas' Jacob Zimmerman, 6-0, 6-2, while Fostoria's (1-3) Marcus Bradner defeated Jack Burtis, 6-0, 6-1.
Calvert forfeited the third singles match.
In doubles play, Fostoria's Jordan Dukes and Tony Reynolds defeated Calvert's Ian Warnement and Tim Puesey, 6-1, 6-2. In the second doubles match, the Redmen's Houston Burrow teamed with Devon Hatter to beat the Senecas' Mark Fowler and Danny George, 6-2, 6-0.
Calvert fell to 1-3.
Columbian doubles trouble for Streaks
SANDUSKY - Columbian edged Sandusky Thursday, thanks to a pair of doubles wins.
Columbian's team of Mason McCool and John Obringer topped Brock Cremean and Skyler Jane, 6-1, 6-3. In the second doubles match, Tornadoes Jared Fleming and Brandon Berry beat Martin Stevenson and Jeremy White, 6-0, 6-1.
Columbian (6-2, 3-1 Northern Ohio League) won one of the three singles matches. That came when Victor Keller knocked off Sandusky's Jacob Riedy, 7-6 (12-10), 6-4.
In the other matches, the Streaks' Jack Stouffer beat Nick Gaietto, 6-2, 6-2. Sandusky's David Linden topped Braden Kuhn, 6-2, 6-2.
H-L boys second, girls third in Fremont
FREMONT - Hopewell-Loudon's boys picked up seven wins and finished second at a five-team meet at Fremont St. Joe. The Chieftains scored 96 points, short of only Port Clinton's total (105).
On the girls' side, H-L finished third out of five teams, scoring 48 points. St. Joe won the meet with 127 points.
On the boys' side, Hopewell-Loudon's 4x800 squad of Marcus Ardner, Chet Swartzmiller, Alex Wood and Robert Kniss won in 9:22.
Ardner won the 800 in 2:15, Swartzmiller won the 3,200 in 11:03, and Richie Fox won the pole vault in 11-6.
Other winners for the H-L boys were the 4x200 team of Cody Malone, Taylor Bustillos, Avery Gatchell and James Roush (1:36.9), and the 4x400 squad of A.J. Burns, Travis Ardner, Ben Bodart and Roush (3:47). Aaron Lucius won the 1,600 in 4:51.
Hopewell-Loudon's girls were led by three second-place finishes. Allie Andrews was runner-up in the long jump (12-4 1/2), while the 4x800 team of Kailey Coleman, Erin Reinhart-Anez, Leah Reinhart and Cassie Reinhart placed second in 11:02.3. Reinhart-Anez was second in the 1,600, running in 5:57.3.
