Noel D. Cantley

Noel D. Cantley, 81, of Perrysburg, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012, at Fairhaven Community, Upper Sandusky.

He was born Feb. 27, 1931, in Rock Creek, W.Va., to Hubert and Grace (Price) Cantley. Noel married Mary Lou (Mynes) Cantley Dec. 26, 1951, in Whitesville, W.Va., and she preceded him in death Dec. 22, 2011.

Noel was a truck driver for Cassens Transport, Detroit, Mich. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served his country proudly during the Korean War. He was a member of Troy-Webster American Legion Post No. 240, Luckey. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing.

Surviving Noel are his sons, Randy (Linda) Cantley of Tiffin and Alan Dale Cantley of Perrysburg; four grandchildren, Sarah (Chris) Foster, Jessica (Allen) Rehkemper, David (Kelley) Cantley and Liz Cantley; two great-grandchildren, Phineas Foster and Richy Rehkemper; a sister, Barbara (Bill) Asbury of Cleveland; a brother, David (Kay) Cantley of Atlantis, Fla.; and many special nieces and nephews.

He also was preceded in death by his parents; son, Noel Dean Cantley II; and eight brothers and sisters.

Family and friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Marsh Funeral Home, 110 Main St., Luckey.

His funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday, April 14, at Glen Daniels Worship Center, 322 Bolt Rd., Glen Daniel, W.Va., where there will be additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of his funeral. Officiating will be the Rev. Jerry Cantley. Interment will follow at the Cantley Family Cemetery.

Considerations for memorial contributions are the Alzheimer's Association.
