BELLEVUE - Calvert ran with the big schools on Tuesday in a triangular, with the boys and girls squads coming in third.
In boys action, host team Bellevue won the meet with 73 points with Willard tallying 55 1/2 points. Calvert finished with 46 1/2.
Calvert's 4x800 relay team won with a time of 8:43.
Shane Boehler took home the 100 dash crown with an 11.8 with teammate Tyler Long finishing tied for second in the race with an 11.9.
Ren Boehler won the 200 dash in 24.2 with Nate Ritzler placing third (24.8). Ren also was second in the 400 dash (46.3).
Austin Schultz won the 3,200 run (10:52.2) and was fourth in the 1,600 run (5:04.2), where fellow Seneca Joe Brodman was second (4:52). Brodman was fourth in the 800 run (2:14.7) while Steve Smith finished a spot ahead of them (2:12.9).
Nate Mathias was second in the discus (123-2) and fourth in the shot put (36-6).
Calvert's 4x200 relay team (1:37) and 4x100 relay team (46.3) were both second in their respective races.
Austin Traxler was fourth in the 110 hurdles (20.8) and Austin Kontak was fourth in the long jump with a leap of 16-9 1/4.
On the girls side, Bellevue raced past its competitors with 97 points while Willard had 61 and Calvert piled up 14.
Olivia Smith was the brightest spot for the Senecas, winning the 800 run with 2:33.8.
Calvert was second in the 4x800 relay and 4x200 relay.
Gina Grandillo was third in the high jump with a leap of 4-6.
Marisa Horn was fourth in the 400 dash (1:12.1).
TC boys win, but girls lose against Shelby
Tyler Lewis won both distance races, leading Columbian to a 72-65 win over Shelby at Frost-Kalnow Stadium.
Lewis won the 1,600 meter race in 4:50.8, beating teammate Brandon Gibson by less than a second. He won the 3,200 in 10:37.
On the girls' side, Shelby edged the Tornadoes, 70-67. The Tornadoes were led by Brittany Flint, who won the long jump (15-10) and the high jump (5-0).
The Tornadoes' Autumn Nichols also won a pair of events, taking home the 100 hurdles in 16.8, and the 300 hurdles in 46.3.
Upper boys first, girls second in tri
GALION - Upper Sandusky's boys track team throttled its competition Tuesday afternoon, racking up 91 1/2 points in a blowout victory. Galion had 64 1/2 and Lucas tallied 19.
Upper Sandusky's 4x200 and 4x100 relay teams each took first in 1:45.92 and 45.65, respectively.
Gyen Musgrave won the 100 dash (11.48) and 200 dash (24.27).
Kohl Johnson won the 110 hurdles (16.75) and Matthew Haycook took top honors in the 300 hurdles (47.89). Dominic Solis was the best in the 800 run (2:16.18) while Evan Logsdon continued his domination in the high jump (5-8). Collin Gardner threw the shot 39-10 for first and Tyler Burks was best in discus (113-5).
On the girls' side, Galion dominated a tri-meet with Lucas and Upper Sandusky, as the Tigers racked up 91 points against the Rams' 52 and the Cubs' 32.
Upper Sandusky's Halee Stief won a pair of events, winning the 1,600 in 6:10.8 and the 3,200 in 13:25.43.
The Rams' Ceidyer Niederkohr in won the high jump in 4-8.
Mohawk relays key in home meet
SYCAMORE - On the strength of three relay wins, Mohawk's boys outlasted Carey, Seneca East, St. Wendelin and Bettsville on Tuesday.
Mohawk scored 87 points to pick up the win, 11 more points than the Blue Devils. Seneca East scored 70 points, while St. Wendelin had 17. Bettsville did not score.
The Warriors' 4x800 team of Logan Stillberger, Mitch Parker, Levi Edgington and Alex Hoerig won in 9:18.33. The Warriors 4x400 team of Edgington, Austin Eaton, Jake McMillon and Alec Stillberger won in 3:49.45. Mohawk's 4x200 team of Alec Stillberger, Eaton, Grant Ekelberry and Jarred Shellhouse won in 1:41.04.
Carey's Tommy Arredondo paced the Blue Devils with wins in the long jump (18-2 3/4) and high jump (5-6).
Owen Best led Seneca East with wins in the shot (39-0) and the discus (131-3).
Newell wins two events, Carey wins meet.
SYCAMORE - Carey's Dana Newell won the shot and the high jump Tuesday, as the Blue Devils won a four-team meet by a wide margin.
Carey finished with 129 1/2 points to win the meet. The next-closest team was Mohawk with 51 1/2 points. St. Wendelin finished with 45 points, while Seneca East had 39.
Newell won the shot with a toss of 35 feet. Newell won the high jump at 4-10.
Mohawk's Kristen Weininger won the 300 hurdles in 56.44, while Seneca East's Hannah Hahler won the 100 in 13.69.
St. Wendelin's Kayla Kirk won the 1,600 in 5:50.8.
