CLYDE - Calvert saw its chance for its first win slip away in the third and fourth innings Monday as Clyde powered off for a 9-6 victory.
The Senecas scored three times in the top of the third for a 4-3 lead, but Clyde countered with four in the bottom of the frame and two more in the fourth to vault ahead.
Haley Steiner (0-6) took the loss for Calvert (0-6).
Casey Bruns tripled and doubled and Kate Brickner scored three times and singled.
Bellevue batters Redmen
FOSTORIA - Bellevue pounded out 11 runs in the first inning and cruised from there Monday in a 14-4 thumping of Fostoria.
Casey Babb took the loss for the Redmen (2-6), allowing one earned run and 10 other runs in two-thirds of an inning.
She also went 2 for 3 with a run, three RBIs and a triple against Bellevue (12-1).
