Celtic concert Friday

Friday Night Live is to feature Celtic and Irish music at 7:30 p.m. Friday at The National Theatre at The Ritz. The groups performing are Tapestry and Toraigh. Both have performed previously at Friday Night Live.

Based in Toledo, Tapestry includes harpist Denise Grupp-Verbon and acoustic guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Michael Grupp-Verbon.

Performing and recording together for more than 11 years, the pair's repertoire includes many styles of music from Celtic and folk to pop, classical and more. "The Red Leaf" is their most recent CD.

Toraigh is a Gaelic word that means "seek" or "search." The band consists of Mary Dennis and Bob Midden of Bowling Green, Martin Koop of Tiffin and Brian Strong of Oregon, Ohio.

Toraigh performs traditional Irish and Scottish music.
