Heidelberg won its sixth men's tennis match in a row Monday, dropping non-conference Defiance 7-2.
Cliff Goetz, Ryan Patrick Earl, Dorion Kempf and Matthew McDivitt each claimed a singles match.
Bobby Lochotzki and Goetz teamed up for one doubles win, Earl and Zach Schwenning added another, and the team of Kempf and McDivitt also triumphed.
TC can't catch Bellevue
BELLEVUE - Bellevue powered past Columbian 4-1 Monday to open the Northern Ohio League slate of tennis.
Victor Keller gave the Tornadoes (2-2) their lone win, blanking Jared Poock 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles.
The Redmen's Collin Covella beat Nick Gaietto 6-0, 6-4 at No. 2 singles, while teammate Luke Hackenburg defeated Braden Kuhn 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3.
Bellevue's Blake Kryling and Brendan Adkinson dropped Jared Fleming and Brandon Berry 6-1, 5-7, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2 doubles, Redmen Troy Harper and Cody Henderson defeated Mason McCool and Hunter Stark 6-3, 6-4.
