3 transported in SR 53 accident

The State Highway Patrol responded to a crash Friday morning on SR 53 in Hopewell Township.

According to a spokesperson for the highway patrol, Michael Shock, 19, of Tiffin, was driving south on SR 53 when a suspension component broke on his vehicle. Shock lost control, left the roadway, and struck a utility pole. He was taken by New Riegel EMS to Mercy Tiffin Hospital, she said.

Shock's two passengers, Betty Shock, 50, of Florida, and Tracy Shock, 22, of Tiffin, also were transported to Mercy Tiffin Hospital by New Riegel EMS.
