Kara Lynn Cummings and Joshua James Widman, both of Arlington, Va., announce their engagement and upcoming May 5, 2012, wedding in Lancaster, Pa.
Kara is the daughter of Carl and Linda Cummings of Millersville, Pa. She is a 2005 graduate of Pennsylvania State University and received a master's degree from George Washington University. She is employed by the District of Columbia government as a forensic investigator.
Joshua is the son of James and Glenda Widman of Tiffin. He graduated in 2001 from Clyde High School and in 2005 from Kent State University. In 2009, he received a medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He is a resident physician at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
