COLUMBUS - Rainbow trout are to be released at area fishing spots in April and May.
The first release is to be at White Star Quarry for family fishing April 6, followed by Crossroads Industrial Ponds in Crawford County April 12 and Fostoria's Lake Lamberjack April 19.
The final area release is to be a youth-only fishing day May 5 at Giertz Lake in Hancock County.
The releases are part of an enhancement of public fishing statewide by releasing more than 96,000 rainbow trout in 61 lakes and ponds, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife.
