Our soliders at war

March 23, 2012
The Advertiser-Tribune

The military men and women have went through a lot these past several years. People wonder why they lose it at times. Could it be that they're on their third or fourth deployment? They've been through more than their share and the time comes when they can't handle it, they just have a breaking point! I would think that two deployments would be enough for any military person to go through. Maybe they were told they could come back to their home base if they did another deployment.

Their parents probably were looking forward to seeing their son, but it doesn't always work out like that. One morning a knock came to the door, there stood two military officers. They said, "We're sorry to inform you, but your son was killed this week when a grenade hit his Jeep."

You have our deepest sympathy. ...
