David L. Sampson Sr., 54, of Tiffin, died at 8:18 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo. David was a very caring person. He had a great sense of humor and loved walking.
He was born Sunday, Sept. 1, 1957, in Lima, to William Wallace Sampson Jr. and the late Betty (Nance) May.
Surviving are a daughter, Michelle (Bryan) Kersker of Lima; a son, David L. Sampson Jr. of Lima; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; six brothers, Bob (Barbara) Sampson of Seattle, Wash., Walt (Judy) Sampson of Willard, Mark (Sara) Sampson of Columbus, James (Joyce) Sampson of Attica, John (Julie) Sampson of Willard and William W. Sampson V of Attica; and a sister, Rachael Sampson of Lima. He also was a very loving uncle of many nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, William W. Sampson III.
His memorial service will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, 920 N. Cable Road, Lima, OH 45805, (419) 229-2300, with Pastor Jim Menke officiating.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
