Gary H. Cooper, 49, of SH 231, Sycamore, died at 1:50 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.
Gary was born March 28, 1962, in Tiffin, to James Cooper and Betty (Deckard) Rader. He married Sandy J. (Morter) Cooper April 27,1984, and she survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Chelsea D. Cooper and Ashley M. Cooper, both at home; and three brothers, Carl "Bob" (Karen) Vackert of Fostoria, Jim "Murph" Cooper of Fostoria and Jeff (Peg) Cooper of Tiffin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Henry Vackert, who died in 1993.
He was a utility worker for Ohio American Water Co., Tiffin, for 20 years. He was a 1980 graduate of Mohawk High School. For hobbies he loved to do all kinds of hunting and followed The Ohio State Buckeyes, mainly in football and basketball. He also loved to watch his daughters participate in all their school and athletic events over the years at Mohawk.
A memorial service for Gary will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2012, at Melmore United Methodist Church, Melmore, with Pastor Barb Siegle officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Cooper family to be used to benefit the volleyball and softball programs at Mohawk High School in care of Walton-Moore Funeral Home, P.O. Box 350, Sycamore, OH 44882.
