FINDLAY - Friendship is the focus of "The Dixie Swim Club," to be presented at 8 p.m. today through Saturday and 5 p.m. Sunday at Fort Findlay Playhouse.
The characters are five southern women who met at age 18 as members of a college swim team.
The play follows the women as they meet once a year each August at the beach to reconnect in a swim team reunion, without husbands, children, phones or inhibitions.
The play spans 33 years in the lives of the teammates, letting the audience watch as the characters change through marriages, children, careers and tragedy.
No matter what the occasion, these five best friends find humor in every situation.
Produced in association with Dramatists Play Service Inc., the play is directed by Jim Toth and produced by Deb Finley.
