Jim Lysle of Lima is to take program participants on a photographic wildlife journey. His animal subjects vary, but one of his passions is photographing the black leopard. He has traveled to Africa more than 15 times.

Sandusky County
Sandusky County Park District invites all ages to a "Meet Me at the Cabin: Basket Making" program at 2 p.m. Thursday at White Star Park Log Cabin, 5013 CR 65, Gibsonburg, south of the park's main entrance.
Bring an old towel and learn how to create a small woven basket.

Meet at the park office and travel to private property around the marshes of Sandusky Bay. In indoor comfort, view a "window on wildlife" and learn about bird banding research.

Sessions are 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Feb. 4 at Creek Bend Farm, 10 a.m.-noon Feb. 14 at White Star Park Log Cabin and 4:30-6:30 p.m. and 4:30-6:30 p.m. Feb. 27.
Open to everybody ages 5 and older, families can arrive anytime to play a game or two with a nature-based theme. Games are for all ages and include memory games, trivia and board games about butterflies, Lake Erie, insects and birds.

Animal Adaptations is planned 4:30-6 p.m. Thursday at W.W. Knight Center, 29530 White Road, Perrysburg
Follow naturalists to Wood County as part of the Outdoors Is In! exhibit. After the program, explore the tree, river, fossil room and campsite along with simple ideas for having family fun outdoors.
