James and Janet Wise are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children today, Jan. 22, 2012, at National Machinery Co., Tiffin.
They were married Jan. 20, 1962, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, by the Rev. James Walsh.
James is the son of the late Ray and Helen Wise. He retired from the security department at Tiffin Developmental Center.

Janet is the daughter of the Edna and the late George Fretz Sr., and she is retired from retail sales and management.
They are parents of four children, Steve (Deb) Wise, Mike (Margaret) Wise, Ron (Sue) Wise and Tim (Tina Elchert) Wise, all of Tiffin. Eight grandchildren and one great-grandson complete their family.
