Gary and Carol Weller of Republic planned to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, Jan. 20, 2012.
The couple was married on that date in 1962 at St. John Lutheran Church, Bellevue, by the Rev. T. Rene Meyer.
Gary is the son of the late Ivan and Mae (Seibel) Weller. Carol is the daughter of the late Robert and Pauline (Eberhard) Andrews. They retired from farming in 2010 after 50 years.

They are parents of four children, Amy (David) Hoops of Bowling Green, Kimberly (Kai) Rudloff of Lincolnshire, Ill., Carrie (James) Horst of Miami Beach, Fla., and Kevin (Cheryl) Weller of Avon. They also have eight grandchildren.
