Lauren Kagy and Thomas Alexander III exchanged wedding vows at 2:30 p.m. May 28, 2011, during an outdoors ceremony at Heidelberg University. The Rev. Cathy Wirth was officiant during the double-ring ceremony. A reception followed at Attica Fairgrounds in the entertainment building.
Lauren is the daughter of David and Beth Kagy.
Thomas is the son of Thomas Jr. and Deborah Alexander.

Lauren, given in marriage by her parents, wore a strapless, mermaid-style gown with a sweetheart neckline and a beaded lace overlay. The bodice was lined with silky satin and the skirt was layered with netting. The overlay was accented with additional beaded lace appliques or freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals and sequins. She wore a veil with an embroidered edge of Swarovski crystals and pearls. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses and calla lilies.
Julia Kagy of Bloomville was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelly Falter of Bellevue, Alexa Wilhelm of Republic and Whitney Buterbaugh of Cincinnati, friends of the bride. They wore eggplant-colored, knee-length, satin-fitted dresses with sweetheart necklines and ivory sashes at the waist. They carried bouquets of roses and calla lilies with deep purple undertones.
Jeff James of Norwalk was his friend's best man. Groomsmen were Bryce Little of Morgan City, La., Alex Clyborn of Columbus and Mitch Jones of Chicago, friends of the groom.
Flower girl was Jaidyn Kagy, daughter of the couple. The ring bearer was Ayden Laubender of Tiffin, friend of the groom's son.
Lauren is a 2007 graduate of Seneca East High School and a 2011 graduate of Heidelberg University. She is employed as an early childhood educator.
Thomas is a 2006 graduate of Monroeville High School and a 2011 graduate of Heidelberg University. He works in the alumni relations department at Urbana University.
Beth and Julia Kagy hosted a shower for the bride and Hope and Emily Smith hosted another shower for the bride.
The rehearsal dinner took place at Reino's banquet hall.
The newlyweds reside in Urbana.
