Good feeling about plan

December 21, 2011
The Advertiser-Tribune

Caroline Minges indicates a location on a plan for a tactile map for Schekelhoff Nature Preserve during an Access to Recreation meeting Tuesday as she gets input from other committee members (from left) attorney Paul Burtis, city Law Director Brent Howard, Tiffin Charitable Foundation administrator Jodie Reinbolt and Tyson Pinion of Tiffin University. Three maps are in the works for Schekelhoff park, Opportunity Park at Seneca County Opportunity Center and Tiffin University Nature Preserve. The maps, funded through a $14,000 second-round grant from the Kellogg Foundation, will provide the visually impaired with a way to "feel" the parks to provide better accessibility. The maps also will be color-coded to provide an orientation for all park users.
