Kelly Marie Covell and Dennis Hoerig were united in marriage during a 2:30 p.m. civil ceremony Oct. 12, 2011, in Chicago. Judge Michael Clancy officiated.
They were attended by the bride's children, Katie, Macklin and Colin.
The bride wore an ivory dress, with a sheer ivory jacket and her late grandmother's pearls. She carried a bouquet designed by the groom's mother, of plum roses.

Kelly is the daughter of Fred Sr. and Mary (Scholl) Smith of Tiffin. She graduated in 1985 from Columbian High School and works as a pharmacy technician for Kroger Co., Tiffin.
Dennis is the son of Kenneth and Dorothy (Koby)?Hoerig, also of Tiffin. He is a 1985 graduate of Old Fort High School and a 1989 graduate of Bowling Green State University. He is features editor for The Advertiser-Tribune.
The couple hosted a local reception Nov. 12 at the Knights of Columbus hall.
A honeymoon in New Orleans is planned for the spring.
