FOSTORIA - Wesley Memorial Gallery has opened an exhibit of watercolor and casein paint artwork by David Lorek of Fostoria.
A 1969 graduate of the Columbus College of Art and Design, Lorek has shown his paintings in Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin, winning numerous awards and ribbons. One piece on exhibit, "Fallen Birch," won the 1983 Grumbacher Award in the Toledo Artists Club Gold Medal Show.
An artist's reception for Lorek is set for 1:30-3:30 p.m. Jan. 15 in the gallery, 1200 Van Buren St., Fostoria. Regular hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and other times by appointment. Admission is free.
