FREMONT - Vanguard-Sentinel Career and Technology Centers Board of Education approved during a meeting Thursday evening putting the Ohio School Facilities Commission project's loose furnishings and technology package out to bid.

Superintendent Greg Edinger said the technology package has a $1.3 million budget, and the budget for loose furnishings is about $730,000, for a total of $2 million.

Officials still are working on finishing punch-list items at Sentinel, he said.

"(In Fremont), we're on schedule still," he said.

In other business, the board approved a memorandum of understanding with Vanguard-Sentinel Education Association. After the meeting, Edinger said it clarifies language in the contract. The board and union are in negotiations for a new contract.

"We're still working under the old one," he said.
