BELLEVUE - VFW Post 1238, Bellevue, is to host a Veteran Stand Down 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday. Veterans are invited for a free breakfast and lunch, an opening ceremony with color guard, guest speakers and a closing ceremony with a bagpipe tribute to veterans.
The Dayton VA mobile Veterans Health Care Clinic is to be on-site for the event. Veterans without permanent housing or in need of assistance with financial, medical, employment, VA benefits and other matters can receive advice and referrals.
