Merv and Becky Wilhelm celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during the 8 a.m. Mass Oct. 9, 2011, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, followed by a family brunch at T.J. Willie's, Tiffin.
The Wilhelms were married Oct. 7, 1961, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin by the Rev. Harvey Keller.
They are the parents of five children, Janeen (Scott) Melroy, Jim (Terri) Wilhelm, June (Andy) Rich, Janet (Mike) Shock and John, who is deceased. They also have 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, with two on the way.

Merv is the son of the late Al and Anna Wilhelm. He is retired from RR Donnelley & Sons and farming.
Becky is the daughter of the late Earl and Winnie Lease. She was co-owner of DeColores Fabrics, Bloomville, and retired from St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
