The Franciscan Earth Literacy Center is inviting children ages 5-12 to become "a scientist for a day" by joining a science club and taking part in programs that explore the branches of science through experiments, labs and activities.
The next program 9 a.m.-noon Nov. 12 explores what chemists do. Children can learn about the world of chemicals and how they interact with each other. They can make a density tower or plasma and play with them, along with seeing raisins dance, making "goop," and making a fire extinguisher.
Cost is $6. To register, call (419) 448-7485 at least three days before the program.
