The annual Day of Caring is set for Saturday with many groups organizing service projects in the community.
Tiffin residents are asked to contribute non-perishable food items to the Harvest for Hope collection.
Volunteers are to report to the Opportunity Center between 8:15 and 8:45 a.m. to get their assignments and depart at 9 a.m. At noon, volunteers are to return to the Opportunity Center for lunch and dismissal.
Other community groups have planned their own activities.
The Kiwanis Club is gathering at 9 a.m. to make ornaments for Operation Christmas Tree, a project that sends decorated live Christmas trees to U.S. military personnel serving overseas. The Altrusa Club also has special projects planned.
