Opportunity Center to feature free fall fun for kids Thursday

October 11, 2011
The Advertiser-Tribune

The Seneca County Opportunity Center is to host a Halloween "Hoot in the Park" for children ages 10 and younger 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the center, 780 E. CR 20, south of Tiffin. Coordinators Beth and Jim Donaldson said the arts and crafts studio has been busy constructing and painting wood character cut-outs that volunteers are to set up outdoors in the park behind the center. The ACT Council and the Aktion Club also are sponsoring the event.

Children can come in costume to meet and hear stories from costumed story book characters along the "Trick-or-Treat Trail," enjoy refreshments and participate in non-scary activities provided by the Ohio Student Education Association and EHOVE Teachers' Academy. This trail has been created to offer free fall fun for small children and their families. In the event of rain, the festivities are to take place indoors at the center.
