BLOOMVILLE - Seneca County Park District and Tiffin University Equestrian Team are to have the second annual Equestrian Poker Run/Walk today at Garlo Heritage Nature Preserve. This year, there also is to be a Walker's Poker Run. Registration is $10 for riders and $5 for walkers.
Registration is to start at noon, and the poker run is to begin at 1 p.m. Food is to be available. All proceeds are to go to Garlo Heritage Nature Preserve, Make-a-Wish Foundation and TU's equestrian team. For more information, call (419) 389-2090.
The nature preserve has more than 7 miles of designated horse trails for visitors to use. The trails cover a variety of terrain, including wooded trails, grass lands and the perimeter of the park's agricultural fields. The 256-acre preserve has more than 2 miles of walking trails and is open to visitors during daylight hours. Restroom facilities and picnic tables are available.
There is a designated parking area for horse trailers. Walkers can park at the horse trailer parking lot for the event.
Garlo Heritage Nature Preserve is located at 5777 S. SR 19, Bloomville.
