Kendra Vogel and John Elchert exchanged wedding vows at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011, during an outdoor ceremony at Toledo Country Club. A dinner and reception followed the double-ring ceremony at the country club.
The bride is the daughter of Edward H. Vogel II and Teresa Vogel, both of Tiffin.
The groom is the son of Vicki Elchert of Tiffin and the late Ben Elchert.

The bride wore a diamond white Galante Pronovias gown made of sienna organza with ruffling on the V-neck and spaghetti straps. The mermaid-style dress had asymmetrical ruching, a large flower with a crystal center, and the full skirt had tiers of ruffles and a chapel-length train. She wore a crystal headband, and her veil had flower-shaped crystals and fell to fingertip length. She carried a bouquet of off-white roses, miniature calla lilies, white hydrangea blooms, accented with yellow freesia and white stephanotis studded with crystals.
Kasey Vogel, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brandi Creswell of Medina, Elise Roth of Sandusky and Laura Elchert, Allie Sendelbach, Amanda Ritzler and Andrea Elchert, all of Tiffin.
The bridesmaids wore aqua, tea-length, silky taffeta dresses with asymmetrical gathered front panels and A-line, full skirts. They carried bouquets of yellow sunflowers, yellow freesia, white hydrangeas and yellow Billy flowers.
Flower girls were Leah Barlow of St. Joseph, Mich., cousin of the bride, and Elise Anspach of Tiffin, niece of the groom.
The ring bearer was Andy Barlow of St. Joseph, Mich., cousin of the bride.
Colton Omler of Pemberville was the best man. Groomsmen were Brad Anspach, brother of the groom; Jon Weininger, Matt Weber and Brian Windau, cousins of the groom and of Tiffin; Jeremy Ardner of Houston; and Tim Albrethsen of Vermillion.
The bride, a 2004 graduate of Calvert High School, graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2008 and is a doctoral student at The University of Toledo in occupational therapy.
The groom graduated in 2004 from Columbian High School, in 2008 from Bowling Green State University and in 2011 from The University of Toledo doctorate program in physical therapy. He is a physical therapist in Wilmington, N.C.
Honoring the bride with showers were her sister, Kasey, and grandmother, Eugenia Vogel, at her grandmother's home and also Elise Roth and Rachel Lorenzo at a favorite Toledo restaurant.
A rehearsal dinner was at La Scolla Italian Restaurant, Toledo.
The couple resides in Wilmington, N.C., and will honeymoon in Costa Rica.
