Jerry and Susie Kelbley are to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with an open house given by their children 5-9 p.m. Saturday at the Evergreen shelter in Meadowbrook Park, Bascom.
They were married Aug. 21, 1971, at Our Lady of Consolation Church in Carey.
Jerry is the son of the late Marion and Illajean Kelbley. He farms and is the owner of Kelbley Transportation.

Susie is the daughter of Herman and Gerry Fredritz of Alvada.
They are the parents of four sons, Ben (Jolene) Kelbley of Tiffin, Nick (Catherine) Kelbley of Fostoria, Brad Kelbley of Tiffin and Doug (Dannette) Kelbley of Carey. Two grandchildren, Colten and Ruger, complete the family.
