Jerry and Jean Ash of Bettsville are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They are having an open house for family and friends 1-3 p.m. July 23, 2011, at Salem United Methodist Church, Bettsville.
The couple requests no gifts.
The Ashes were married July 22, 1961, at Burgoon United Methodist Church by the Rev. Calvin Wise and the Rev. Gerald Bell.

Jerry is the son of the late Louis and Jane Ash.
Jean is the daughter of the late Jim Lanning and Bonnie Nemeth.
They are parents of three children, Kim (Bill) Lindenfield of Brownsburg, Ind., Julie (Joe) Hartsel of West Liberty and Nathan (Beth) Ash of Bowling Green. Seven grandchildren complete the family.
