One of two cars that are put on display at NASCAR races is making its first pit stop in Tiffin at Seneca County Fair Monday.

Nationwide Insurance is sponsoring NASCAR Nationwide Series, and a Ford Mustang that goes to NASCAR races and a trailer are to be on Seneca County Fair's midway noon-5 p.m. Monday. The other show car is a Chevrolet Impala.

"I hope it brings a lot more people to the fair, just in general," said Jenni Rosselit, marketing director for Chris Schiefer Insurance and Financial Services in Tiffin.

Rosselit said a race is going to be close to Tiffin, so the insurance company booked the car for a certain amount of time. A NASCAR Nationwide Series race is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. today in Nashville, according to the series' website.

Rosselit started working on bringing the display to Tiffin about two months ago and found out the application was approved about a month ago. She said it was exciting, and she thinks it will bring a lot of people to the fair.

"We'll have handouts," she said.

A crew is to bring the display to the fair.

The display is to feature a simulator that allows people to see what it is like to participate in a NASCAR race. The simulator is to be in a semi trailer that hauls the car to events. The back end will be down, and people can walk inside where the simulator is, Rosselit said.

"It's a big rig," she said.
