David and Patricia Hoar will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house for friends and family 2-4 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2011, at Highwater Congregational Church of Christ, 1213 Dutch Lane, Newark.
The couple requests no gifts.
David and the former Patricia Ann Melick were married June 18, 1961, at the Methodist Church, Utica, by the Rev. John F. Graham.

They are the parents of three sons, Mike (Rochelle) of Mt. Vernon, Matt (Kellie) of Pataskala and
Mark, who is deceased. Nine grandchildren complete the family.
