BLOOMVILLE Bloomville council members learned documents were received allowing the transfer of property from Buckeye Central school district to the village at a cost of $15,001. Donations of $11,000 had been collected towards the purchase.
Memorial stones to construct a walkway was discussed with a sample block presented. Names and organizations will be compiled for the stones at the alumni banquet May 28. A planning meeting is to take place May 25 at the village office.
Councilwoman Carol Adams said pool manager applications had been received. Council authorized Adams to interview the candidates and make recommendations to council. The pool opening is set for June 6 weather permitting.
It was announced the Board of Public Affairs is to seek someone to fill the remaining six months of Jim Miller's term, who has resigned.
Police Chief Howard Minzer reported his department is to sponsor a bicycle rodeo at 11 a.m. June 4. Registration forms will be at the library and at the event.
