Columbian swept by Redskins

Columbian was unable to break through against Port Clinton, losing its second straight match, 5-0.

The Tornadoes fell to 0-2.

In singles matches, the Redskins's Chalin Cahlik topped TC's Logan Smith, 6-1, 6-0, then Port Clinton's Mark Fillmore followed with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Nate Armstrong.

In the final match, Zach Auxter knocked off the Tornadoes' Brandon Berry, 6-4, 6-1.

In doubles play, Port Clinton's Jonny Newton and Jeff Griffin defeated Dylan Richards and Ben Ginnever, 6-4, 6-1.

In the second doubles, PC's Adam Sebastiano and Nils Bach beat TC's Nick Gaietto and John Obringer, 6-2, 6-2.

Calvert blanked by Panthers

Calvert lost all three of its matches and forfeited two others against Sandusky St. Mary, 5-0.

Calvert's Ian Warnement lost to Andrew Linden, 6-0, 6-0, while TC's Daniel Kwiat fell to Evan Slattery, 6-0, 6-0.

In third singles, the Senecas' Mark Fowler fell to the Panthers' Connor Stark, 6-0, 6-0.

Rams stay undefeated

UPPER SANDUSKY -Upper Sandusky beat Bucyrus for the second time in less than a week, sweeping the singles matches and topping the Redmen, 4-1.

The Rams beat Bucyrus, 4-1, Thursday.

On Tuesday, Trevor Barth knocked off the Redmen's Matt Mubik, 6-0, 6-1, while Jacob Courtright beat Bucyrus' Connor Jackson, 6-1, 6-0. Rounding out singles' play was the Rams' Alex Frye, who beat Payne Stephens, 6-1, 6-4.

In doubles play, the Rams' team of Zach Parks and Brian Cappelle held off Alex Constantine and Seth Chandler, 6-3, 6-4.

The Redmen's only win came when Jordan Fields and Talon Rittenour clawed the Rams' Brice Arnold and Aaron O'Flaherty, 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.

Upper Sandusky improved to 3-0, Bucyrus fell 2-2.
