Hazel Franks, a member of Tiffin University's board of trustees, is greeted by signs and applause as she is escorted by Tyson Pinion, director of TU's annual fund, in Franks Hall Monday afternoon. TU officials threw a party to celebrate Franks' 90th birthday. Craycraft Hall was named in honor of her parents, and Franks Hall was named in honor of her and her husband, Richard. Franks was a member of TU's class of 1941 and received an honorary degree from the university in 1993.
