Katie Mae Ellis and Daniel Patrick McCarthy exchanged weddings vows at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 30, 2010, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Tiffin. The Rev. Donna Van Trees was officiant during the double-ring service. A reception was at Community Civic Center in Tiffin.
The bride is the daughter of Don and Debbie Ellis of rural Tiffin.
The groom is the son of Dave and Barb McCarthy of Westerville.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory chiffon gown with a corset-style, lace-up back. The bodice featured a halter sweetheart neckline and was embellished with silver embroidery beaded with pearls, bugle beads and sequins. Draped pleating formed the fitted waistline, where the gown gathered at each side, accented with beading. The slim A-line skirt flowed into the chapel train. She wore a single tier ivory veil edged with satin cord.
The bride carried a bouquet of ivory roses and purple lisianthus; she also carried the Bible her mother and maternal grandmother carried in their weddings.
The attendants wore deep purple chiffon strapless floor-length gowns. The gowns had beaded necklines with a shirred midriff, split front and faux closure with rhinestones. They carried bouquets of ivory and lavender roses wrapped in ivory satin.
The flower girl wore a sleeveless satin gown with an organza overlay skirt and deep purple sash.
Emily Ellis of Columbus was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lisa Ellis, cousin of the bride; Kristin Hansen, sister of the groom; and Nicola Fulks, Laura Roeth and Johnna Sells, all of Columbus.
Alexa Taylor of Port Clinton, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.
Joel Benedict and Paul Benedict of Columbus were the best men. Groomsmen were Adam Long, Gene Marchese and Ben Osborne, all of Columbus, and Gregg Wozniak of Cleveland.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Old Fort High School and a 2005 graduate of The Ohio State University She is a registered nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
The groom graduated in 2001 from Northland High School in Columbus, and in 2005 from Ohio University. He is the staff manager and lessons coordinator for Worthington Pools, Worthington.
A rehearsal dinner was at T.J. Willie's, Tiffin.
The couple resides in Columbus following a honeymoon to the Smoky Mountains, Tennessee.
