The former site of Mercy Tiffin Hospital on West Market Street is to become a new Fifth-Third Bank location.
"We've purchased that property " said Karen Fraker, senior vice president of marketing at Fifth Third's Northwestern Ohio office in Toledo.
The transaction was completed in late December, she said, and the company plans to consolidate the downtown and Westgate branches of Fifth Third into the new building.
"We're excited to have a new banking center in Tiffin," Fraker said.
She did not yet have a timeline for the project.
"It has not gone out for bid as yet," she said. "It's still in the planning stages."
