Samantha Ish of Bellevue High School asks Jason Hurtschuch a question about artificial insemination during a stop at Seneca Soil and Water Conservation District's Ag and Natural Resources Career Day at Miller Conservation Farm. Hartschuch, an intern at Genex bull farm, guided students in simulating AI on bovine reproductive tracts from slaughtered animals. In addition to AI, agricultural education students from New Riegel, Seneca East, Sentinel Career Center, Hopewell-Loudon and Bellevue could choose five of nine options, including environmental education, hog production, mapping, excavation, flower farming, agricultural lending, agricultural business communications and aquatic biology.
