The city of Tiffin's compost and brush facility at 961 N. Water St. is to be closed Friday to clean up glass and plastic left by patrons and to prepare for the giveaway of compost 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Call (567) 207-6427 with any questions.
Loading is to be available for pickups and small trailers through Sept. 17. Larger trucks and trailers may be loaded after Sept. 17. The compost is intended for private citizens and not commercial enterprises. The city reserves the right to limit the amount of compost removed by one person or group of people.
