Seneca County renters may begin planning to buy their own homes with the assistance of homebuyer education classes now available in Tiffin.
This four-hour course, set for Sept. 15, provides instruction on the entire home-buying process - it is to walk participants through the process.
WSOS' homebuyer education meets or exceeds the counseling/education class required by many lenders.
The classes are made available through a grant to the City of Tiffin, Seneca County Board of Commissioners and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. It is administered by WSOS Community Action Commission. WSOS is a private nonprofit community action agency, and is approved by HUD to provide free training, counseling and advocacy to homeowners and homebuyers. The housing counselors at WSOS are HUD-trained and certified.
Class sizes are limited, so registration is necessary.
