Gene and Lillian Schatzinger are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today, Aug. 8, 2010, from 2-5 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Washington Street United Methodist Church.
The couple requests no gifts.
The Schatzingers were married Aug. 7, 1960, by the Rev. Wilbur Meiser.

Gene is the son of the late Fred and Nola Schatzinger. He is retired from American-Standard.
Lilllian is the daughter of the late Edison and Lelah Foght. She is a retired floral designer and real estate sales associate.
They are parents of two children, the Rev. Bryan (Janice) Schatzinger of Shelby and Lisa (Mike) Maldinger of rural Shelby. Six grandchildren complete their family.
