Limo service marks 10 years

July 23, 2010
By Cathy Willoughby, Correspondent

Continued growth over 10 years due to support from area businesses and residents who wish to travel in style has led Advanced Limo to celebrate with an open house 5-8 p.m. today.

The business, 2564 W. CR 52, will offer refreshments and door prizes, plus Grizzly Brown, a disc jockey with WIOT-FM 104.7 in Toledo, is to do a remote broadcast.

"I wanted to thank the people who have supported us on a regular basis," said owner Jeff Heyman. "I wanted to thank all of those people who have supported us over the years."

Seeing a transportation need in Tiffin 10 years ago, Heyman started his business with just one car. Within 11 months, he needed to begin adding to his fleet, which now includes eight vehicles, with nine drivers.

"We've been averaging 700 jobs a year, even with the slow economy," he said. "It's all due to good customer support. There are a lot of area businesses that have been loyal to us, using us for airport transport and business trips."

Advanced Limo also averages 300 to 400 weddings a year, Heyman said.

"The wedding business is stronger than I thought it would be in the beginning," he said. "I owe that to the quality of the cars, the service we provide and our employees."

Advanced Limo's wedding package includes red carpet from the church to the limo, a balloon release and a champagne toast, which Heyman said is popular.

"With 10 years into it, there is nothing you could ask us to do that would surprise us," he said.

The business has helped celebrate birthdays, New Year's Eve and company Christmas parties.
