Commissioners to entertain 2 pleas

The Seneca County commissioners are to hear appropriation requests from two public officers and an update on new hires for a branch of the county EMS program.

During their meeting at 10 a.m. today, Seneca County Sheriff Jeff Briggs is to discuss an appropriation request with commissioners. Briggs recently requested his certified revenue to be increased by the Seneca County Budget Commission, which put the decision on hold until August.

Commissioners also are to speak with Brad Newman, manager of Tiffin Aire, concerning an appropriation for the airport.

In addition, County EMS Director Ken Majors is to speak with commissioners concerning new hires to the County EMS Paramedic Response Unit.

Commissioners also are to go into executive session to discuss pending legislation.

In other news, the board is to consider:

n A supplemental appropriation of $3,000 to the Concealed Handgun License Fund.

n A supplemental appropriation of $7,500 to the Workforce Investment Act Fund.

n A supplemental appropriation of $36,145.15 to the Recovery Act Rural Law Enforcement Assistance Fund.

n A supplemental appropriation of $1,030 to the Poll Worker Training Grant Fund.

n An appropriation adjustment of $21.75 within the Clerk Courts Title Administration Fund.

n An appropriation adjustment of $484.59 within the Ambulance Service Fund.

n A resolution setting time, date and place to receive bids for the 2010 Seneca County/Township Road Reconstruction Program.

n A resolution hiring Dennis Hanlon as an intermediate paramedic for the Seneca County EMS Paramedic Response Unit effective July 1.

n Resolution hiring Michael S. Longanbach as an intermediate paramedic for the Seneca County EMS Paramedic Response Unit effective July 1.

n Resolution authorizing an agreement/contract with Pictometry International Corp. for the Digital Aerial Photography of Seneca County on behalf of the Seneca County Auditor.

n Resolution setting time, date and place to receive sealed bids for the TR 201 bridge rehabilitation.

n Resolution authorizing a run-out contract service agreement with Medical Benefits Administrators Inc.
